It is a Way to Express Myself

Wednesday, November 2nd, 2011

Mom really like what she saw in my home! I started decorating with some canvas prints of the photographs that I have taken. It is one of the better ways that I can display my professional work for all to see. I suppose hiring the canvas printing company is really worth it. They have definitely allowed me to get the shots that I have taken onto something that is truly meaningful. I feel pretty lucky to have been able to find a way to print my art. I know that some people might prefer other methods, but canvas works very well for me. I think that some people just do not know about this form of printing yet, and that is why it has not been too commonly seen around the house. I feel like once people find out, they are definitely going to love it, and every home might just be filled with them.

Inspirational Photography on the Isle of Harris

Wednesday, October 26th, 2011

There is some truly wonderful Isle of Harris photography at the moment which is great because this island is a real gem in the crown of Britain.

The Isle of Harris is one of the most picturesque of all the Hebridean islands and that is saying something because they are all beautiful in their own way.

However Harris’ combination of rugged hills and beautiful sandy beaches really does make it something special indeed.

It is also culturally very interesting because it is still one of the most religious of all the islands, where Sunday observance is still adhered to and it has only just had a ferry service introduced on a Sunday but no shops are open.

Many people come to Harris to get away from it all and for photographers it is a perfect place to come and unwind and revel in this fantastic landscape.

And if you don’t manage to capture that perfect image then you can always buy one of David Fleet’s wonderful landscape photographs.

Where to Get Free Birthday Cards

Saturday, September 24th, 2011

The awesome thing about a good thought is that you don’t always have to pay for it. These days, the most you have to do to send a birthday card to someone special is to design one online, write a nice message, type in an email address and hit send.

Contrary to popular opinion, digital birthday cards don’t undermine the personal touch of the sender, as opposed to the traditional birthday card. In fact, a lot of people put in enormous efforts to make an ecard look as unique as possible, and you get better chances of doing that when you don’t have to pay a cent to do so.

If you’re looking for free birthday cards, you’ll be surprised to see how many online services exist to offer you great designs to personalize. However, no matter how many ecard websites you find, you’ll realize that only Delivr.net gives you the best designs to work with.

Delivr gives you only the best art wallpapers, photographs, and ecard designs. The material on their site is licensed from credible photographers and artists, assuring you that you don’t stumble upon amateur-looking pictures to use for your free birthday cards.

Giclee Art Prints Are Cheaper Than Museum Prints

Saturday, August 13th, 2011

Giclee art prints are cheaper than museum prints and yet some people still insist on spending $10,000 or more buying a museum print to hand in their opulent great room. For the rest of us that do not have this kind of cash just laying around, we are better served by investing in giclee art prints. These types of prints are comparable in quality to museum prints because they are printed on expensive archival paper – so they last for 100 years under glass – and they are printed using a high end ink jet printer, one at a time. Each giclee print is inspected by hand for greatness before it is sold to the consumer. Here is the main thing, though, giclee art prints cost a fraction of what museum prints cost. Yes, they are more expensive than posters, but those posters will fade and yellow after 5 years.

A Couple of Words About Turning a Picture to Painting

Wednesday, July 27th, 2011

In the USA the activity of turning a picture to painting is very popular among those who love art and would like to have oil painting reproductions. I am going to tell you a couple of words about Realism. The guys working at portrait-painting.com are able to reproduce famous realistic paintings created by talented artists like Francisco Goya, Edward Manet or John Singer Sargent. This firm provides only one hundred percent original work because their artists paint only on canvas. Canvas is made up of linen and it is the most used material in the process of oil painting. Many artists choose canvas because this type of surface is not susceptible to cracking. Classical Realism is a modern movement of art. It attempts to return the realistic painting methods. You should order a portrait from the art studio mentioned above. Impressionism is another current of art developed in France during the late nineteenth century.

Charlotte Weddings in the Time of the American Gold Rush

Friday, July 15th, 2011

In 1799, a young boy called Conrad Reed found a rock which he brought home to his family. Three years later, a jeweller paid him $3.50 for the rock, after having determined that it was gold. This set off the nation’s gold rush, a time when people went a little bit mad in their desire to become rich. In those days, the men of North Carolina were more obsessed with gold and mining for it than they were with women and many Charlotte weddings nearly didn’t happen as the grooms were off digging and panning for gold. It was a simpler time then, when women would wait at home for a gentleman caller and men would wash off in the streams, put on their Sunday best and take the time to visit a lady and her father, before asking for her hand in marriage. Though many men did strike it rich, there were twice as many who left broken and poor.

Salman Khan Images Give Me Inspiration

Tuesday, July 12th, 2011

Salman Khan images are making waves among young women in India. Most of the women I know usually have his photo in their mobile phones. I had seen him once at a fine restaurant and he was indeed gorgeous. I have been living in India for more than three months now and most of the young girls in our office normally would ask if I have any pictures of Salman Khan. I grew so curious as to who this guy was that I made a search on him on Google and found out that he is in fact a great actor in India. Salman is admired by many people in India for his charisma and talent in acting. Aside from his acting abilities, he also has dashing good looks that will melt any girl’s heart. So now, I am one of the thousands of women who have Salman Khan’s image in their mobile phone.

Street Photography with Nikon 35mm 1.8 Lens

Tuesday, June 7th, 2011

The Nikon 35mm 1.8 lens is the perfect lens for street photography, as many people said. However, not many people share their street photography experience with this lens. This is exactly what I am planning to do in this short post. I will post my personal experience in using this lens for street photography and I hope you will benefit from it.

First of all, the 35mm will be equal to 52.5mm when you use it with a cropped sensor DSLR with 1.5X crop factor. This is the perfect angle for street photography. Another good thing about this lens is the blazingly fast autofocus speed. With this kind of speed you will be able to track fast moving objects with ease.

Last, but not least, is the price. This lens is simply an amazing bargain. Given the price, it offers such a tremendous quality at a very low price. I would highly recommend this lens for anyone that is into street photography.
